This project grew out of my fascination with the things we use to make, fix, and create. I’ve always been drawn to tools—whether it’s a paintbrush, a hammer, or a fiddle bow—because they all carry a bit of the person who uses them. They tell quiet stories of work, creativity, and care. Photographing them in black and white strips away distractions and lets the textures, shapes, and small imperfections shine. It’s my way of honoring the beauty in the everyday and the connection between hands, tools, and the art they help bring to life.
